Universal Is Working on a 'Fast and Furious' Spinoff Starring Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson

Last week, Universal finally premiered the long-anticipated The Fate of the Furious movie in theaters. Now, the studio is apparently in the early stages of developing a Fast and Furious spinoff with actors Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson helming the lead roles. That's right: Hobbs and Deckard will presumably form an alliance to take on Charlize Theron's villainous Cipher character in the next installment of the beloved franchise. According to Deadline , F&F screenwriting stalwart Chris Morgan will be writing the script.
